New beginnings

Right 6th Edition is here, and finally after much waiting (since the 2006 4th Ed book) the Eldar finally have been updated!

Drinks all round!

After playing a few games with my Knights of Titan and not really getting along with them that much (who knew I wouldn't like terminator amour) I decided to hold off till the Eldar got their 6th ED makeover then bring my children of Isha out of the draw were they had been languishing.

I don't have a copy of the new codex yet, but from what I have read it is more than enough to commence project Eldar 2013.

I also started a little feature on my Grey Knights blog were I would pit 2 of 40k's named characters up against each other, this is something that I will bring over, and continue (with the first new one is the re-match between Lelith Hesperax and Jain Zar)

I will also keep track of a few other projects along the way, but my current focus is Eldar.

With this many to paint and finish I am very snowed under with work at the mo

The target?

1 Unit or vehicle painted to a standard I am happy with at least every 2 weeks
(This was going to be 1 a week but giving myself a bit of leeway)

Working it out in the old (4th ED) codex the Eldar on display work out to be about 5k worth without any upgrades, and on models like the wave serpents taking the cheapest options.  When I get round to getting my hands on a 6th ED codex it will be interesting to see whats changed.

NOTE: I do have a lot more Eldar than this that also needs painting and or fixing, mostly guardians, rangers and harlequins, but due to a lack of space for now they are staying in the draw of doom.
